Luxembourg, 27th March 2025 – Cube Infrastructure Fund III, a fund managed by Cube Infrastructure Managers, and The Dillinger Group, a Germany-based developer, EPC and operator of renewable energy plants, are pleased to announce the first closing of their newly-established joint venture platform, CubIKS GmbH, aimed at deploying 1GW of solar photovoltaic (“solar PV”) capacity across Germany and Northern Italy over the next 5 years. The platform shall be focused on building ground-mounted installations, rooftop-mounted systems on commercial and industrial real estate, and carports, with potential hybridization through Battery Energy Storage Solutions, accelerating the transition to renewable energy and contributing to enhanced energy security.

The Dillinger Group (“DG”) has a proven track record of over 18 years in successfully raising and investing more than €150m in the development, construction and financing of 36 PV plants in Germany and Italy. It has performed extensive M&A activity for many years, acquiring, refurbishing, revamping and refinancing various solar plants. DG currently has a development pipeline of c.3 GW of various solar PV, wind and battery storage projects spread across Germany, Italy and Poland. Out of this pipeline around 200 MWp are currently under construction in Germany and Italy.

Cube Infrastructure Managers (“Cube”) has a successful track record in investing in and growing renewable energy platforms alongside local business developers and operators of such projects. It has already built two renewable energy platforms in Iberia – RPIPE (Cube I) and Green Energy Platform (Cube II) – with a combined installed capacity of c.265 MW (solar PV, mini-hydro and wind). Cube is also invested in and is developing a renewable energy platform in Norway – Varanger Kraftvind (Cube II) and Norsk Vannkraft (Cube III) with c.100MW / 400GWh and c.75MW / 250 GWh of capacity / annual production respectively.
